Rodney Dangerfield died this week. I mention it because he is one of the very few celebrities I have ever encountered in my life. I ran into him after midnight one night at the ice cream freezer in our local grocery store. He was rooting around for his favorite flavor and I for mine. He mocked himself for being out so late and looking for ice cream but I didn't take the bait or comment on the implications; I just said that I hadn't really noticed it was late. While I was writing this I realised I couldn't remember if he said what his favorite flavor was so I decided to do a web search to find out. I keyed in Dangerfield+ favorite+ice cream and one site gave me an interview with him that had this Q. and A.
Interviewer: If you had to run to the grocery store in the middle of the night, what would you buy?
Rodney: I'd be going there to hopefully meet a girl who don't know how late it is.
How about that! Think I'm the girl?
Rest in Peace, Rodney.
:)))))
Amazing.

Carol:
Definitely, you're the girl! (but I bet you hear that all the time ;-) Very cool story. Assuming you write poetry for the fame and adoration (and don't we all?) you might as well stop now; it's all downhill from here.

Aisha pointed me this way because I put some Rodney Dangerfield quotes on my blog. Great story!

Glad you stopped by, Laurie. I saw the R.D. quotes and they made me laugh all over again.
