Well! Obviously Halloween's not quite as big with readers of this blog (my cyber community) as it is with members of my real-time community. Last weekend we were inundated with goblins and pranksters, and policemen chasing down teenagers with eggs. (No one egged our house, thank goodness.) There were darling little children, ballerinas and spidermen, darting in and out of the larger groups. There were parents who tried to keep watch and parents who were drinking and acting rather rowdy themselves. My favorite image of the night was a man* dressed as Brunhilde, blond braids, helmet, and all, pushing his friend in a wheelchair in slightly drunken revelry as two of their children slogged along with them in the rain. Who knows where their wives and other children were. Just couldn't keep up, I guess. Or wouldn't! I just love the little ones who stayed with their fathers.

Sounds like an amazing night of revelry for young and old!
BTW I have belatedly answered some comments by you and others in my blog...and owned up, in Teper Ranger's blog, to knifing an alligator called Elvis.

PS.
And here is your cool poem on memes in my blog:
Me, I'm
waiting for a meme
to be uncovered,
photographed, brain-imaged.
You know it in your gut, it's there!
Or there. Perhaps we'll see
if we add a dose
of humility.
Halloween is certainly a meme.
