One of the things I like about my new self-portrait is how young she is. Why, theoretically, she could live forever. This must be something like how old movie stars actors feel watching their early films. :-)

Interesting that you say that. I just this week found a pencil self-portrait I did at about age 19 - wow - did I ever really look that young?! And I don't think I appreciated myself nearly enough at the time. It makes me think that years from now, I'll look at a picture of the 38 year old me and think the same thing.
